The Southern Cross Snooker is a substantial, traditionally styled snooker table crafted from Western Australian Jarrah and designed around the proportions and detailing of a classic full-size snooker table.
Eight solid timber legs are individually turned to create the distinctive traditional profile of the Southern Cross. Combined with the substantial timber frame, they give the table both its structural support and its unmistakable presence within a room.
The construction incorporates 78 strategically positioned bolts throughout the structure, creating a strong and rigid foundation to support the significant weight of the slate and maintain the stability required from a quality snooker table.
Western Australian Jarrah is used extensively throughout the table, with its natural grain and rich colour forming an important part of the Southern Cross Snooker's traditional appearance. Brass-trimmed net pockets complement the timber and reinforce the classic character of the design.
The playing surface is built around precision-cut slate and quality billiard cloth, providing the stable and level foundation required for the controlled movement, rebound and accuracy expected from the game of snooker.
