Choosing the right size table for your room is crucial to ensure the best possible playing experience. Always provide sufficient cueing space. The standard cue length is 57 inches (1.45m).

The optimal distance from the cushion of the table to a wall or piece of furniture is 5ft. (1.52m).  This will allow for the best possible stance and cue stroking without hitting an obstacle.

A smaller space may be dealt with by using a shorter cue. You still want to have enough space to play comfortably without feeling cramped. Short cues are also great for children.
