Jim Side

Jim Side is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to organising and facilitating the design, build and safe delivery of the highest quality pool tables in Australia.

Education and credentials include:

• Graduated from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada with a Batchelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting)
• Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Canada and Australia and as a CPA in Australia
• Extensive experience in audit, taxation and small business accountancy and management with Arthur Young (now Ernst Young) and, as a partner, in Byfield Beavis & Co. (now Byfields) in Northam, Western Australia
• Company accountant for organisations in Queensland and Papua New Guinea
• Managing Director and franchisor of the “up market” Pot Black Family Pool and Snooker centres in Western Australia from 1987 to 2017 - at the time the largest operator of pool and snooker centres in Australia.
• Director and Accountant of Quedos Billiard Tables in Perth, Western Australia, from 1997 to present. Quedos manufactures quality pool tables from Australian hardwoods at its factory in Perth and is Australia’s most awarded pool table manufacturer.

Although not all directly related to the Pool and Billiards industry; Jim's extensive knowledge and experience in business allow him to aid in all aspects of the Quedos company.  His high passion for delivering excellence and customer service has made him an important member of the Quedos team spanning over decades.
